Saving Characters Locally

If I am playing a game on someone elses server, can I possibly save my character locally?

If you have the same ruleset you can view it through "manage characters" from the start up window.

Select the campaign you play in and you can view your character, but not make any changes.

I'm not sure if this works with lite licenses and below.
