Hi, folks:
Just bought the Full version of the game. I really love it! I'm having a problem, though, updating as a normal user. I've tried:
-- Safe mode
-- Turning off anti-virus
Get a package file write error. Then I noticed that the installation only installed a data file directory in Application Data for the administrator account I used to install the software (I'm on Windows XP). Moreover, it installed nothing in the Start menu for any account.
I tried copying the Application Data folder to my non-admin account (and checked the folder perms to make sure the user had necessary perms). Now, the FG runs fine under non-admin and admin accounts, but it won't update under a non-admin account.
Any suggestions?
Update
Right after I posted this, I stumbled on another wrinkle.
I copied the FG registry entry from the Admin account to the non-Admin account, then deleted the Application Data folder from the non-Admin account.
The update recreates the Fantasy Grounds II folder in Application Data, and happily downloads the following folders:
-- extensions
-- modules
The "Package file write error" message appears for the rest of the folders and files. :/
