Unfortunately not me this year, last year was under Special Permission.

Not I, unfortunately. Having just got married, don't think she'd appreciate my traipsing off for a weekend. :)

I'll be there. Haven't missed in 22 years, not about to now.

Bring her along, she can hang with my wife. Course my wife might get her involved in a game of Toon. :)

I plan to be there all four days. I may have to make it down for some pickup games Wednesday too. :D I can commute from home (I live about 20 miles away), and my wife is at least as keen to go as I, so I have no excuse. And a great wife! :)

Seriously, if you wife likes any game she can probably play it there. It isn't all just RPG's by any means. And there's a whole track of programming for non-gamer spouses as well.

Has anyone heard if Smiteworks will be there again this year?

We plan to be there again this year. We haven't finalized our booth selection yet.

Better hurry, only 4 days left. :)

With the new hall location I'm having a hard time picking out where to place PCGen's booth. Yes it looks like we are going again this year, we have awesome users that are donating. Right now I'm looking at the following booths. 1020, 2120, 608, 920 or 2004

I'm starting the 2012 campaign, and I hope to learn from you (as my jedi master) on getting more out of the gaming sessions...

PS. I might even win a plushie cthulhu.

Just a reminder that my offer is still open. Unless we somehow get placed next together, then I'll just point and say "Go there!" :)

How do you cover your costs at GenCon when your product is free?

Sorry for the late reply, don't have time to check ALL the forums I post in anymore. :)

Actually our user base donates money each year so that we can have a booth, get some flyers printed up. This will be the 3rd year at GenCon for us. The first year we shared a booth with Eruvian.com (which sadly has gone the way of the dodo) and we had to skip last year due to volunteer schedule issues and general bad economy. Since I'm the PR person for PCGen I cover the booth almost the entire show, and we have a couple of volunteers that donate some time and help man the booth during peak times (or when I have to run to talk to a publisher, or get food etc.). Stop by and say Hi! I look like this ...

Doug, I'm trying to get together a CD for our community to burn copies of and bring to GenCon for us to distribute at PCGen's booth. Since PCGen is only going to take up a fraction of the space on the CD I'm trying to locate as many RPG apps as possible to include. Would it be okay if I included Fantasy Grounds on it also?

Sure. You are okay to include the demo and the unregistered versions if you'd like and I suppose you could even throw on some of the tutorial videos if you wanted. Let me know if you require any help gathering things.

Awesomeness, I might ask for some of your vid's.

Right now I have okay's from Wolf Lair, RP tools, d20 Pro and of course Smiteworks. I have Joe Wetzel from InkWellIdeas (Hexographer, Dungeonographer) interested, but I'm not sure how his would work since the free versions are all web-based.

Anyone else have some suggestions on who might be interested?

Well I did not have enough room for the video's. :( Here's a torrent of the ISO, not sure if I created it right. I also uploaded the iso to Dropbox, but I think you have to sign-up to download it

Heya Doug, just wondered if you were going to take me up on my offer to have flyers or something to promote FG at the PCGen booth?

I'll see if I can get some additional literature for you. Thanks for the support, as always.

I've been so busy that I forgot to schedule any events to attend in the evenings. I was thinking of checking out SW: Deadlands Reloaded, but it looks like all the SW events are booked out. Do you think they'll have any SW drop-in events this year, like they did last year?

Cheers,
