When inputting a background, the name and text comes up as just the name in FG2.

Example

From Powers.txt

The other sorcerer-kings have dispatched agents to gather intelligence about the liberated citystate and create conflict where possible. You are one such spy. Were you born in Tyr, or are you from another city-state? To whom do you report? How do you view the rebellion?
Associated Skills: Endurance, Streetwise

Try adding the text 'REGIONAL BACKGROUND' after the name of the background (on the same line).

Just tried that, and same results

Mine looks like this, and it parses fine.

ZREGIONAL benefit name here REGIONAL BENEFIT
description of benefit here; Associated
Associated Skills: list of associated skills here

The difference that I see between mine and yours is:

1) the "REGIONAL BENEFIT" tag that ends the benefit's name line. I suspect that this is the cause of the long node that is mentioned in the log.

2) my descriptions end with "; Associated" just before the listing of the associated skills.

Adding BENEFIT seemed to do the trick
but the ";Associated" part came in as a part of the description
