Could not load ruleset root file base.xml

Anyone know what causes this error? It is happening on the example campaign that came with FG2, and is also happening on Demon God's Fane which I bought and downloaded.

Any assistance would be appreciated! I am using v 2.6.5 of FG2.

I can create a new campaign now problem, just can't seem to load up one. :(

It might be a Windows permissions issue.

* Are you running the application with the same user that you installed it with?
* If you click on the Application Data Folder link in the FG start menu list, what is the directory path that is opened?

I am running it with the same user that I installed with who is an administrator.

When I open teh Application Data Folder link it goes to the correct folder where the campaign files are at.

Select the Run As Administrator option when you right click on the icon to start FG.

I'm not sure it that shows up for you or not. But, my user is an administrator, but I still have to use that option in some scenarios. I don't need to do that for FG on my computer, but I want to rule that out.

Arravis, try downloading and installing the original D20 ruleset and see if that clears up the issue.
