In anticipation of The Laundry (https://shop.cubicle7store.com/epages/es113347.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es113347_shop/Products/CB71200) I'm getting to grips with the BRP ruleset. I'm converting and willing to run In Search of the Trollslayer. I've played a lot of Call of Cthulhu and GMed it a couple of times with close friends, this will be my first foray with BRP.

Anyone interested in playing post below.

IN SEARCH OF THE TROLLSLAYER is classic beer-and-pretzel dungeon-crawl filled with monsters, traps, and treasure! Your players will need to use their brawn as well as their wits to survive this dungeon. It is designed for 3-6 characters of Heroic Campaign power level.
Pre Gens will be provided.

Hey, I'm interested in playing. New to BRP myself, but I have experience in other games so should be able to figure it out. Just wondering what days/times you were thinking.

Sounds fun and looks interesting, I'd love to play.

I'm available GMT+1/BST evenings. Any day should be fine with enough warning. I have one other person interested from the BRP Central forums he's Central Time so would only be able to make weekends.

I'm willing to give it try if given enough notice before the session. My weekends are filling up with house renovations so knowing I can square off a regular block of time would be great.

I know Stitched is Central European, Ebeny and wrathof42, what timezones are you in?

I've got one maybe two players from here (https://basicroleplaying.com/showthread.php/2056-Fantasy-Grounds-In-Search-Of-The-Trollslayer), as I've asked for preferences for PCs there, I 'spose I should here too! :)

Is there any place I can look up character classes, etc? I am not familiar with the ruleset so I can't really say what my preferences are for PC. I imagine it uses the classic "classes" (like Fighter, Mage, Thief?)

I would like to play a Thief or a Cleric, if they are not taken.

There are no free downloads that I'm aware. You can get the quickstart rules here (https://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=82093) for $2.

A Thief is available, I'll pencil you in!

The quickstart PDF is available free on the Chaosium web site (https://catalog.chaosium.com/product_info.php?products_id=3700). It is just a bit hard to find. ;)

We're waiting now, so you're not coming? The game was scheduled for 2000 GMT+1/BST. (Which is 3 minutes away from the time of this post)

When I got your message it was almost 9:00 PM GST+1 (my time) so it have already been an hour late game-time so too late for me to stumble in and ruin your game.

Sorry for not showing up.

Just to say that those of us that played in the game had a blast. We used Skype as well as FGII and after our GM signed off we continued to chat for quite a while afterwards ( 3 of us are in N.America). We are all looking forward to the next session. Considering a couple of the technical glitches we had it was still fun and I think we all learned stuff. The 3 of us had never used FGII, but our patient GM was able to teach us well. Hope that our GM had fun too and learned more about BRP.

Cheers

Glad you enjoyed it! You all seemed to take well to the roleplaying by chat.

Yes I had a good time too, and yes my BRP knowledge has increased! :)

I was never much for using chat on the computer, but months ago during our pbp RQ2 game on Herocentral.net, Blackfoot started chatting with me and we have been chatting with YahooIm ever since. I think we must have a similar sense of humor or something. There were definitely some joking references to his game mixed in there. Sorry if you couldn't figure out what we thought was so funny. :D
