I was wondering why I can't use /w as the DM to whisper. is this by design?

as a GM you use /w <name> to whisper to a specific person. I usually do /w then drag the player name off the character sheet and drop it into the chat. It's handy if they have first/last name.

I think in some rulesets you can also drop text from your chat bar and drop it onto the character portrait you want. The chat will then go to that player.

If you are using the 4E ruleset you have to type at least /wh

i'll try /wh <name> but /w <name> doesn't work for me.

It must be the 4e ruleset I'm using.
