I just purchased the Full FG2 license and I'm trying to create a character.
I updated my license and the FG2 don't recognize any of my powers and such. Where do I get further updates and such so FG2 will recognize my character's class and such?

See the revised 4E video tutorials thread just a few below this one. That may help. I found it useful.

I watched them all, unfortunately none of them mention anything about getting data into your Library. They Just assume you have all the content in it.

Not to sound patronizing or anything, but did you also review the instruction page? I am not certain if they do say anything about it, but who knows.

Which Instruction page are you refering to? Do any of you remember how you got content in your Library to being with?..

Yes, I've scanned through that link, It doesn't provide information on how to get content for your Library.

Yes, I've scanned through that link, It doesn't provide information on how to get content for your Library. WotC does not allow the electronic distribution of their content. You need to have access to a DDI account and parse the info or have the .pdf's (which I believe they discontinued) to build your own 4e library. There is a thread that kinda explains it in more detail somewhere around here but I am not sure which one.

Christ, I'm getting the impression this is more trouble than it is worth. Fortunately, I don't give up. Where would one find the latest latest 4EParser v4.0.20 to download?

Hey Akarashi, I just went through this very thing. Once you get the hang of it, it's really simple to use 4EParser to scrape the compendium to create modules for anything available on DDi.

I used this thread;

https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12576

And the link I found there;

https://oberoten.dyndns.org/fgwiki/index.php/Creating_Modules

...to get started on it. If you have a DDi account, it's actually quite simple if you follow the directions closely. One thing I don't think is mentioned in the instructions is that 4eParser will automagically turn on/off the various modules that you should scrape depending on which compendium book you select from the drop down menus - that way it's not creating data files for things not included in the book you're creating a module for.

4eParser can be downloaded from here;

https://tenian.eugenez.net/Parser/

I think the latest version is 4.0.89.

Have fun! I used it to create PHB1, 2 and 3 modules for my Scales of War game on FG2 (which I started last night) and it was great to have them. I also create MM, MM2 and Arcane Power modules.

I did make mention at the start of every tutorial that I do not cover the creation of library modules, and that you don't need them to run a game over FG2. :) That said they aren't real hard to create with the parser, so good luck!
