Is there any way to filter information while parsing?

For instance, I would like to parse only fighter class and powers out of the PHB, then ranger, rogue, warlord. Or do I need to pull all of the excess information out of the text file before making it a module?

No way to filter besides manually editing the files.

Would changing the clase file so that it only had Fighters listed work?

I don't think so. That list is designed to help the Parser understand what keywords to search for. I'm not sure if it would prevent parsing of other classes, but it may also cause other unwanted problems with your parse. In other words, I don't think it was not designed for that.
