So I''ve downloaded a few maps as pdfs from DDI and was wondering if it was possible to change location names on the pdf maps. For example, if a map shows a location name, and I just want to delete this all together, is this possible to do for a pdf?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Some pdfs allow for editing while others don't. It would depend if they allow thisoption or not. Like wise you could hit "print screen" and edit it in paint.

XPDF is capable of stripping the PDF of images. Unfortunately, it does a considerable amount of images, some of which need to be converted to another format. However, it should give you the "big" ones.

As for changing locations, usually the PDF has a flat image file that has the names as part of the map. In that case, you'll have to use an image editor with a Clone ability to get rid of the unneeded writing.
