I am going to start this off as a place to post banners that can be used on your personal (or business) web sites, but we may grow it over time to include other fan site assets. You can link these on your web sites, in your signatures on other forums, on your facebook profile or wherever you think it would be good to share Fantasy Grounds with others. Our current users are our best form of advertising and we appreciate all that the community contributes back to the future growth of SmiteWorks and Fantasy Grounds.

I'd prefer just a simple image of either the D12 or the D20 with the background lines on Sepia...

Welcome to using Fantasy Grounds.

There's a forum for each game system to ask questions specific to that game system, such as Pathfinder/3.5E. You'll find that you get a better (or faster) response when posting in the correct forum.

The total numbers for those statistics on the PC sheet in the Pathfinder implementation on FG can not be edited directly, because it is actually a total of a large number of modifiers. Check the Combat tab on the PC sheet to modify the individual modifiers that make up that statistic.

I didn't see a meet and greet area for new members, so thought I would stop in here and just say hello. I got your software about a week and a half ago after a brief private chat with ddavison, Table_Topping on his stream, and one Talley Darkstar who helped me find the information I needed to make the decision to jump on board with Fantasy Grounds. I just managed to sync up Teamspeak and Syrinscape on your FG TS3 server, thanks for that! Setup my own gaming room for my players to connect to, and testing Syrinscape for sounds to use for our first session while I prep my campaign. I don't have much to show currently, but I'll eventually be recording video of my games and running multiple games weekly, with a goal towards streaming. So, Hi! Hope you folks have a good day.

My projector is a BenQ MW526. My friends can't believe the quality and it is also 3D ready if your into that. It's 1080 and if you know a bit about projectors it is WXGA. Also very quite with a 10,000+ hours bulb life on eco mode.

The projector is hooked up to the Player laptop via HDMI cable. The laptop itself is on "extend these displays" and FG is dragged onto the table. The player laptop and DM laptop are hooked up to a TPLink which is attached to the table. The TPLink box is attached via cable to my router. Yup.. exactly that. I use the "Extend these Displays" and open Fantasy Grounds on the projector side.

From here onward you have two options:

1. You can see your projector menu for "from ceiling view" and you will also have the option to reverse the image if needed.

2. Choose Landscape flipped from your Windows Display under Orientation.

Hope this helps

why not use a glass top table, put some thin tissue paper under the glass, and project from the bottom, so you don't lose the map when someone goes to move a mini...

That depends on the size of screen you want to project and the projector you are using. In my case, I get a better results with it being on the ceiling. This leaves enough space for my players to place their books without overlapping onto the image.

Just wanted to drop in and say Fantasy Grounds is everything I hoped it would be.

Running a home brew game, using some extensions ( Rob Towhy modules ), Big Fonts, Moodlighting etc. and Running Syrenscape in Discord for my players, Using CC3 + for Overland maps and Dungeon Designer for battle maps ( and downloading a few images for easy ones ) and then hundreds of general images downloaded from the internet for landscapes, portraits, NPC's etc for general mood, and it all comes together better than any In-Person table game I ever played in my youth. The game is more immersive, and a better format for a D&D game than anything I have ever seen!

Are you using the DOE: Sound to help with the Syrinscape stuff? :D

DwightLee
November 28th, 2018, 14:44
Actually no, I am using 2 monitors and have Syrenscape taking up half of the second monitor and just click the soundscape direct, as my players do not always do what I expect, I like to have all the options available. I use a tremendous number of soundscapes and pre-defined one shots. However I do intend to look into DOE and see how that works with Syrenscape.... if I* can use it to select my pre-defined soundscapes ( see attachment ) it might be useful.

Well, this is a heck of a necro, but I came here to post my appreciation and here's this thread, stickied!

I just want to express how grateful I am to have this tool in my GMing arsenal. It's made my games so much better, and made remote GMing so much easier. I literally cannot stomach the thought of going back to the alternatives I had been using before. And now with the new lighting system in Unity, I'm yet to use it in a game but I'm playing around with it ahead of my next session and it adds *so* much to the visuals I can present to my party. I can finally have one character's thermal vision represented on the map, and I can have that dimly lit corridor be genuinely dimly lit, with a torch light coming from one of the player tokens. I really, really love it.

So, thank you, to everyone who worked on this awesome software and got all these features implemented. I'm no stranger to development myself and I can image the challenge this must have been to put together. You're all rockstars in my book ;)

Hi. I'm new to FG, but holy gaming tools Batman, it's cool fun. The look and feel is amazingly close to actually sitting around a table throwing handfuls of dice. The map with visibility/occlusion, all that stuff. So cool. Nice design and development.

Also I know people who desperately want to play D&D, but can't go out for various reasons, so this is immensely useful and enjoyable for such people.

Excellent work.
