Need help converting 3.5 to 4.0

I ran a campaign last year for 3.5 and am wanting to convert it over to 4.0 and use again with my new players. All I'm needing is a way to copy the images over to the new ruleset WITH the attached "pins." I had alot of info on those and it would be great if I can preserve that with the new rules. Is there a specific file that that information is stored in that I can move over somehow?

Edit: not having alot of luck here. I guess more specifically what I'm wanting is to be able to copy the story files over to a new campaign in 4.0. Is this possible?

Given that you are comfortable with editing XML, you should be able to copy over the encounter and image XML nodes, as well as the image files; into a newly created 4E campaign.
