Ravenloft d20 Campaign Starting (Long-Haul)

If you're looking for a long-term, regularly-occurring d20 campaign set in the Ravenloft campaign setting, I'm now taking applications. Here are the details. I'm looking to begin in about a month.

This particular campaign involves native Ravenloft characters and is set in Barovia. I'll be setting up a website and forums for the campaign, and we'll be playing Tuesdays (GMT-6/CST) from 8-11:30 or so. The campaign will begin in about a month. It will run from levels 1-20 and utilize content from the Ravenloft Player's Handbook only.

Between now and then, I'll be posting character creation details, as there are some Ravenloft-specific house rules required for immersion.

I'm very specific about the playstyle that will work for a gothic horror campaign. I need mature role-players who can look at fearful, horrible, and maddening situations and play them straight. If you like character depth, drama, and danger, this'll be up your alley. Lastly, I expect demand to be high, so if you can't make weekly game sessions or you've got a lot of lifestuff going on, this may not be for you.

For those that want casual involvement in the campaign, I'm also introducing an opportunity for others outside the party to play the roles of the various darklords of neighboring realms. Note that these "players" will have not have characters per se' but they will have monthly opportunities to scheme against Strahd von Zarovich and Barovia, including the darklords of Invidia, Sithicus, Kartakass, Forlorn, Hazlan, Nova Vaasa, and Borca.

The Ravenloft Player's Handbook is a 3.5 edition book. The Ravenloft Campaign Setting is its 3.0 equivalent (a DMG/PHB combo). I'll be posting the relevant character creation guidelines on the accompanying website, so you won't need to go find the book. If you can't wait, here's the PDF.

I've allways wanted to partake in a ravenloft campaign, since 2nd ed. I have the Ravenloft book and have allways thought about running a campaign, but my DMIng XP is some what limited so I never followed through wtih it. I'd love to play a ranger/"Vampire Hunter", probably human, somewhat like vampire hunter D. The time and day are perfect as I am on Central time and get off at 5:00 and I have another game on Wed. One question, live chat or text? I kind of prefer text but can chat if required.

I'm also VERY interested. Even though I don't have the Ravenloft campaign book I'm a huge fan! I played through Expedition to Castle Ravenloft as a human necromancer last year and shortly thereafter read I Strahd and Vampires in the Mist.

I've been playing roleplaying games for the past 25 years (yes, I'm 35 yrs old) and would very much like the opportunity to join your group if you still have room. The time and day work just fine for me so whenever you get a free moment please let me know where the group stands. Thanks!

We welcome 1-2 more players, particularly martial classes as our two fighters dropped out. (We still have a paladin though).
