Not sure if anyone has seen these but I just stumbled across this interview with Mike Schley and a 3 part tutorial by Torstan over at NewbieDM and both reveal a number of tips and tricks for any aspiring cartographers.

Those of you who have been recently asking me for tutorials on how I do my maps will definitely find these interesting as Jonathan Roberts (aka Torstan from the The Cartographers Guild and Professional Cartographer) and Mike Schley (WotC/Freelance Professional Cartographer) have been key inspirational sources.

Hope you find them useful.

Edit: Also for those of you who are after free symbols and art packs (PNG format) including textures check out Hale Gaming (https://www.halerecordings.com/gaming/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&Itemid=83&task=viewcategory&catid=41), one of the few remaining online sites still hosting the complete CSUAC, all the User Packs and Monthly Archives. Go get em whilst you still can as the CSUAC is becoming notoriously difficult to find.
