In my never ending quest to put off doing work on actual adventures for my World War 2 GURPS game, I decided to make a themed skin. It didn't see right to use a fantasy or a ultra modern skin when you're jumping out of planes or getting shot at by 88s.

I started with Spykes modern blue skin (https://www.spyke.me/) and made modifications as I went. There may be a few of his designs still in there, but eventually I'll get them all replaced. With his permission, I'm putting this up to share with others.

Any suggestions/errors/etc, just let me know:)

Looks great!

Maybe do the desktop in something like this (https://www.vandykes.com/images/cache/variation/02004358_2__.jpg) with wood around the outside.

I'd keep the leather though, but use the leather instead of the brown on your Combat Tracker and Preferences.

Just some thoughts.

Another option to the desktop for the background would be a mission briefing board of some sort.

I would like to do some sort of a leather desktop as the wallpaper, but I haven't been able to find any suitable patterns/pictures of worn leather and what not.

Something Akin' to this? (Sorry about the CRAPPY screenshot.)

I started working on a Victorian era skin but in the end it ended up having more modern items as well but could be useable for a WW2 to Cold-War era skin.

I did a bit of messing around with the background, trying to get a wooden border (didn't tile right), trying to make the documents bigger (meh). Right now I'm looking at this (https://boxofgeeks.net/~mrh/WW2/DesktopScreenshot3.jpg).

It's a lot more plain, but I figured the desktop would be covered with windows so I wouldn't see the fancy stuff there aanyhow. I've still got some tweaking to do (can only do so much at work). I'm planning on changing the plain brown frames to the brown leather background. Not sure what to do about the hot key buttons at the bottom. Leave them brown leather? Darker green? Hmmm

I took a little time tonight to change the background to something a little simpler, and updated various other graphics so they look a bit smoother and better.

That looks really good: the brown/green combination definitely evokes a military feel.

Looks good, nice a clean and colours don't clash or look out of place.

Updated a new version with a few more minor edits. Finally got the character selection screen to something better then a plain silver window.
