Below is a long list of all the modifiers that myself and my players have created as we have played our latest (Fantasy/Hellfrost magic rules) campaign.

All I have done is shared the ones I think all players would find useful and removed some of the setting specific ones.

There may be some duplicates but I figured if I post it here, we could clean it up add others as needed.

To use:

Edit the db.xml file in your campaign and add/replace the <modifier> section of the file with the code below:

It's not so much an extension but some xml code you paste into db.xml after you have created a campaign, use the following code to replace the existing empty <modifier> code:

<modifier>

Likewise! My players used it last night and were quite happy. I am happy, of course, to have avoided all that work! ;)

Couldn't you make a module that contains those? Might save people from messing with the XML :)

The hope was people would add to it (so eventually we had all the modifiers in the rules), then I'll look at making a module.

I'm using this again, so I thought I'd give it a bump. Thanks for writing it, Doswelk. You're a champ. I'm loving the Hellfrost extension!

New guy here. How do you actually use this? I modified my db.xml file as posted above but i don't see anything in the game that would reflect those modifiers. Where is it supposed to show?

Click on the [+/-] box in the upper right. It should open a window with all of the modifiers. From there, you can drag and drop to either chat window or die modifier star.

That would be really great! Nice work on these. I love it!

I just wanted to bump this thread, in case anyone hasn't seen it. I use these for all my games.

Don't want to tread on Kevin's toes, but it occurred to me that I'd rather have module for this, rather than editing my DB.xml files.

So I made one :)

Simply download attached ZIP, and extract the .mod file into your modules directory. Then open the module in your campaign, and it will add in all the modifiers into your modifier tool.

Shouldn't be too hard to add to, should future modifiers be required. But as this list hasn't been added to for over a year, I think it's a good, stable starting point for now !

Right that's it!

I'm off to sulk :p

Seriously thanks for that I have been meaning to do this for a while!
