I recently started playing a 4e druid with a bunch of summoning powers and I was curious how others are handling this. I created a character for each of my summons with all stats that matter and left the attack powers on my druid. That way when I summon one of the animals my DM can drop it onto the tracker creating a mini he can drop attacks and dmg on and I can still move. After creating them I never actually open them up again I just let the DM take care of that.

Any other ideas? I would love to hear suggestions on how to change my mini to indicate beastform easily.

I handled it for my 3.5 campaign from the DM side. I just created a tab in Personalities in my main campaign for summoned monsters, dragged the base monsters from the monster manual into it, and edited them as needed (for celestial, fiendish, and augmented versions).

Of course I was lazy and only did the ones the players could actually summon. :) So I have to update periodically as they go up levels.

Can't you just update your portrait to change your mini?
