So I hear a lot of names being thrown around in regards to map-making software. Everything from Campaign Cartographer to Dundjinni. Unfortunately all of these are more geared towards the fantasy setting.

Does anyone know of a high quality one that would also be able to do more modern, Sci-Fi or Post Apocalyptic maps?

CC3 can handle sci-fi just as well as fantasy, although most of the add-ons so far are more fantasy geared.

While I don't have any samples of sci-fi maps handy, I'll see what I can dig up and get back to you :)

Thanks Kalan.

I'll have to look over CC3 more. It seems at first glance to be more Fantasy geared.

Here's some that I've done with CC3. This is with a fair number of the add-ons. I've got the Dungeon Designer, City Designer, Cosmographer, the Symbols Sets (1 to 3) and the CC3 Annuals. These use Cosmographer and one of the Annual add-ons.

Ok. Wow. I stand corrected. :) I guess their examples just are Fantasy focused. :) Definitely going to have to give them a second look. Thanks!

On the Dundjinni forums there is a whole section dedicated to sci-fi modern graphics, that said CC3 has sci-fi specific add-ons.

As I just mentioned in another thread, I like Dungeon Crafter (I use 1.4, I like it better than the 3.0 version). Tile based, so it's usable by someone even as graphically inept as me. There are Sci-Fi and Modern tilesets.

If you do a google search, don't go to the DungeonCrafter3 website, as it's been taken over by a virus host and will attempt to get you to infect your system with a trojan. There are a host of other groups still hosting the files. (or PM me and I'll email them to you.)
