Has anyone worked on any kind of travel calculator for 4e that works within FG2? An extension perhaps. I have seen a couple of others embedded in the likes of DMGenie and GMGen, even a standalone one for 3e, but I would rather like to see something within FG2.

Thanks.

Travel calculator?

Do you mean as in "Travel this far takes this long if going by horse, this long if going by foot" etc etc etc?

It'd be doable I suppose, I have some numbers for things like that on my main-wiki anyway and could probably patch up an extension quick enough.

The DM Genie travel calculator was very nice.

Inputs:

Base Speed (ft/rd and Mph assumed at 1/10 ft/rd)
Mount/Vehicle dropdown that presets base speed
Movement Mode (Walk, Hustle, Run (x3) and Run (x4))
Distance (in feet or miles)
Option list of Terrain Types
Option List of Road Types
Checkbox List of Other Modifiers that would hamper movement
Amount of hours spent traveling each day (defaults to 8 hours/day)

Outputs:

Time to travel in days, hours and minutes

You could then view the response or output the results directly to the campaign log. It would start from the current calendar date, which was custom, and show you the weather details for each day of travel if you had pre-generated the weather for the entire year, along with the phases of the moon during that time.
