I'm new to FG. I've bought a full version of the program, and having troubles creating a character. Is there a easy way to do this. I've watched the tutorial, but that seems do be hard. Everything has to be typed in? I was thinking there were mods I could drag the powers into it.

There are a couple of Parsers out there, one for DDI and another for the Character Creator.

It took a bit of time to figure out the DDI (on FourUglyMonsters website) one. I've never had success with the Character Creator converter (link somewhere on the boards).

Is there a post for characters for dummies? I've tried to work with the parser and can't seem to get it to work.

The content of the rule books is protected content, so there will not find any modules for 4E until Wizards allows third parties to bundle content.

As tdewitt mentioned, there is a community project at FUM (http://www.fouruglymonsters.com/community/community/groups/viewgroup/49-DD+4th+Edition+FG+Development) with regards to a 4E parser to use on the PDFS you own or your DDI account. Please direct any questions regarding the parser to that forum.

I have the full version as well.
What I am having issues with is I have one last thing to do.
And that is apply the weapon modifier in the Powers tab.
It tells me to get it form the combat TAB.

How do I drag something form one sheet to another when they are ovelaying one another?

You can get HERE (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WGFOA339), CB importer (well has some issues with powers) and parser to create modules with dd compendium! :)

Where do you store the files once you've unpacked them?

It doesn't matter. The DDI importer definitely has problems with powers (I made it, so I know ;) ) but it should work for everything else. Powers are a difficult issue, since it needs to know where to get them and how to insert them. I'm working on it....
