I'm trying to figure out how to best design a skill list item where the skill base value is the result of the average of attribute1, attribute2 and attribute3. I plan to use a drop down control to enable players to set the three attributes. What's needed seems to be a lookup function. In fact a generic lookup facility would be a great addition to the ruleset builders toolbox. The base ruleset (Foens alternative to the Foundation ruleset) has a lookuphandler.lua script but I'm not able to connect those features to a working lookup function. Is there any examples of similar designs in any published ruleset? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

The FG Wiki also has a demo extension for drop-down lists, which you can use with any ruleset and can pick apart to see how it works. You can find it here (https://oberoten.dyndns.org/fgwiki/index.php/DropDown_Lists).
