Save Token as PNG-8 For Smaller Size?

Hey Guys,
Do you guys save your token as PNG-24 or PNG-8? Also, does FG recognize tokens when PNG-8? I'm just trying to reduce the size since I had problems with players seeing tokens lastnight and I'm thinking it may have to do with large token file size.

I just tried locally using two versions of the same token and the PNG-8 showed up just fine both in the GM and player view.

I save my images as PNG-8 usually, but didn't think to do it with the tokens, thanks for the tip. :)

Yeah, I seem to be reducing the file size of the PNGs by a third by reducing PNG-24 to PNG-8. Also I use between 32 to 256, based on the image. I zoom in to either 200 or 400 percent to see what each setting looks like. I usually use 64 unless there's a lot of color variation. Doing it that way, the PNG is 20% the size of a normal PNG (PNG-24).
