Where are Local Characters located on your PC?

Where are your local characters made in FGII located on your local machine? I'm assuming that they are stamped somewhere in a folder.
I have managed to blow away a local character when i reloaded my machine. I do however have all the files backed up...where do I find the character?

All the characters are stored in one file.

Click on your application data folder link in the FG2 folder off your start menu. Open up the characters folder. The .xml files are there for each ruleset.
