I could look at doing a demo session tonight, but would probably want to use the floating licenses instead of the demo version of the software. Reason being is that I've got a Corporation one-shot prepared and ready to go (complete with pre-gen characters). It's not Fantasy, but should give you an idea of what the software can do. I'll be available from 8pm tonight UK time (https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=22&month=12&year=2009&hour=20&min=0&sec=0&p1=136).

It would mean installing an unlicensed version from the downloads page (an option in the proper installer, rather than the demo version installer). More info in this thread: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11370
Gives me an opportunity to try out this Ultimate version as well.

I'd be interested in joining this as well. I don't own a license yet and am on the fence right now. Once having installed the "unlicensed" version do you just need to PM us the server info?

You should be able to use an alias, as far as I know.
The alias to use will be: just jump dead idol

The server is up and running for tonight ... the ruleset we're using will take about 20 minutes to download.
Alias: just jump dead idol

what does that mean will the ruleset be already installed into the game or will we have to download it too?

If the GM uses systems other than the default D&D 3.5e, then the code and images used are downloaded when players connect in to an encrypted campaign file. This will only happen on the first connection to a campaign. You should be able to connect to the alias now and FGII will start downloading the campaign file.

Trying to connect but after clicking "start" the system just shows "Connecting..." I've already added my username and the alias you provided. Is there something else I need to do?

Valarian

No, it should connect and start downloading files after this.

It could be my laptop... I'll try another pc in the house. ;)

If it still doesn't work, I'll change the alias.

Okay, I've rebooted my PC and changed the alias for good measure.
The connection test says it should be okay. The alias is: good luck just luck
Apologies for the inconvenience

appears to be working now... I'm downloading the files so hopefully that doesn't take more than 10min or so.
