So tried to run the character creation session tonight. And none of the players can connect when using the NWoD ruleset. Their program hangs. After about 2 hours, I got the idea of switching to the D20 ruleset to see if they could connect and all of them connected no trouble.

Anyone have any Ideas?

There seems to be a file transfer problem with this ruleset. The best way to remedy this is to use a PAK version which the host and all the clients install. That way no file transfer is needed.

I'll post a PAK version on the FG Wiki asap.

The PAK version is now on the Wiki.

Updated to the new version on the Wiki, and still had no luck with players connecting. So did some in house testing and found that if we stopped using the FGII alias and used the direct IP Address it would connect fine.

So I am guessing this is less an issue with the ruleset and more an issue with Fantasy Grounds at this point.

It's good to know about the work-around, but the PAK should work if each client downloads it from the Wiki and installs it locally. That's how we used it, and that's how Foundation works.

It also means the ruleset is available for offline character creation.
