Hello Everyone,
I would like to announce, for anyone interested, that I am planning to release an initial version (0.8) of the Swords & Sorcery ruleset on December 1st. I began this ruleset as a modification of the Labyrinth Lord ruleset, but have since rewritten it using the foundation package as a code base.
This ruleset has the following features:
Six essential rulebooks that describe the S&S fantasy world and system mechanics (somewhat terse at this point, but functional)
A free-form character sheet that provides an old-school lined-paper feel for players
Combat tracker enhancements including one-click initiative rolling for all actors, removal of actors based on their state, and other UI niceties
Automated treasure generation (coins and items) for found-on-monster treasure, hoards, and chests
Convenience commands for performing simple calculations, coins stacking and loot divvy
Automated combat: grappling, melee, and ranged attacks between actors may be performed with a few keypresses and mouse clicks to speed up combat and reduce DM stress (this is an optional feature)
I'm currently in the process of polishing it up for this first release - another ten days should be enough time to get it out the door...;)
Happy gaming,
Rob
