Greetings All,

I'm new to this forum, and to FG in general, and am looking forward to using the system. One thing i would like to be able to do is run some of my Star Wars Saga Edition sessions in FG. Seeing as the link on the wiki has been down for (apparently) some time, i thought i'd post to the list and request that if anyone has any info on a SWSE ruleset, they contact me via PM.

Thanks!!

dmac

Well, if the link on the wiki is down, give me some time to find out whats going on with that. I do have the files (tho I am not sure how old they are) and I am willing to host them, and update them as needed. I just need to get the proper permissions first.

Ok... kasamui (https://fantasygrounds.com/forums/member.php?u=8909) has not been active on the site since April 26th, 2007 so I am going to go ahead and assume that he probably will not be back anytime soon. And as Thore pointed out HERE (https://fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5858&highlight=star+wars) there are some legal issues with said ruleset.

I will start working on a rebuild of the ruleset, but it could take a few days at best. Getting a good "Star Wars" feel without violation of intellectual property rights is going to be an interesting trick.

Thanks for taking a look at this ruleset. FYI, there was a small amount of effort done on bringing in some of the JPG ruleset features over on FUM. Might want to take a look at it.

Got a lot of work done today on the code clean up, still running into snag on the artwork.... It is VERY difficult to maintain a Star Wars feel without violation of Intellectual Property Rights. I have talked to a few artist friends of mine, and they are going to try and help out, but they are at as much of a loss as I am at the moment.

Sorry for the delay, and just wanted to let everyone know where we are on this one.

Getting closer to a 'finished' product. I think I have all the script errors cleaned at this point. And have spent a bit of time working on 'generic' artwork that I think for the most part still holds onto the atmosphere of the Star Wars universe without violating anyones property rights. The art still needs cleaned up a little as some of it is still rough copy.... But thought you all might like to see that I am working on this for you.

I think you've done a great job with the difficult task of balancing atmosphere and IP!

This ruleset is now available in the Gaming Army downloads store for the modest price of 1000 points ($1 USD). We also have some new generic token sets for 500 points each. Registration is required for accessing the downloads store, but you do get free points just for registering :)

Before I pick this up. How does everyone feel about it? I appreciate the effort, but I want to make sure that it fits my needs.

What would you like to know about it?
Or would it help you if I just told you how to earn enough free points to get it?

For those who are wondering (and so I don't have to wait and come back to explain)....
You get 500 points just for registering on GamingArmy. You get 10 points every day that you sign in. You also get 1000 free point the first time you go into the casino (you will have to transfer these out of your casino wallet and into your points bank). You get some points if you upload an avatar, you get points if you participate in the forums, you get points if you..... well I think you are starting to see the picture.

And for those who are wondering why we would do this, its because your repeat visits to the site mean more to helping build the community than your money ever could.

I guess I should have mentioned that people who do what you just did, might find their accounts banned when they come back to the site for future updates. Its customary to at least say 'thank you' when someone gives you something for free.

And congratulations must now go out to the Fantasy Grounds community. So many of you come to the site now and exploit our kindness with no form of a hello nor thank you, that we will be reducing the free points on the site. Your simple options from now on will be participate or pay, no more leeching.

Hello, At one time had a star wars saga edition script that worked until there was an update to fantasy grounds.

Since then I have been searching but have yet to find one. unerwünscht bro if you can build a script even if it doesn't have the star wars look and feel I would seriously be very appreciative. My gaming group plays a lot of star wars saga edition and one of my room mates is grounded to his bed due to medical reason, so he doesn't get to sit with the rest of us around the table to play. But with fantasy ground he gets to join in and have fun with us still. So not only I but my entire gameing group would thank you or any one who could build this script.

Thanks

I must admit, I am slightly confused at the moment. "Space Wars Saga Edition" is the generic equivalent to what you seek, and is already available on GamingArmy in the downloads section. It was made the generic 'Space Wars' to avoid any Intellectual Property Rights violations.

1000 points still isn't that hard to get. Fill out your profile, upload an avatar, and make some posts on the forum, you will be pulling in points like mad in time. :) If that's still not going to be quick enough for you, you could always try your hand at the casino.

Or you could ask me nicely since you are actually participating on the site, and I might just send you the 1,000 points. :) I don't have an issue with giving things away for free to people who are actually participating on the site.
