Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay v3.0 (https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=93&enmi=Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay)

I don't think I have another ruleset in me :hurt:

When I heard that Fantasy Flight was doing a 3rd edition, I thought of you Nezzir, and if you'd be able to "step-up to the plate" and save us WFRP loyalist with a brilliant ruleset.

It appears that the new twist in the game system will revolve around those freaky dice.

Does this spell the end of any FGII & WFRP combination?

I know so many people who are upset about this, and comparing this to WotC decision to make 4th edition so soon after 3.5.

Yeah, they are 'special dice', but they still have 4/6/8/10 sides. It would be a pain interpreting them though, seeing as you roll a whole dice pool for each action. You may be right. Short of some spiffy programming (beyond me) it may break the chain :(

I can't wrap my head around what screwey dice and playing cards have to to with a traditional P&P RPG. I'm glad I have my copies of 1st and 2nd edition, because there's no way in the world I'm going to switch to that...thing.
Then again, I'm still playing Morrow Project and FASA Doctor Who too.

The new Warhammer is a hell of a lot of fun!

Here's a link to my review after I ran the Emperor's Decree demo at my local gamestore. It's a long, comprehensive review, with pictures.

Could I either talk you into posting that review over at GamingArmy, or get your permission to post it? :)

Nezzir,

Wonderful-informative review. You've soothed my fears of 3.0 by your pleased acceptance.

Are you still attempting to contact FFG to get their approval for a ruleset?

*Edit* I posted the review and the tools mentioned below on GamingArmy.
Either man, go ahead and post it. While you're at it, here's a quick reference sheet I made that really helps during play:
https://home.comcast.net/~nezzir/files/wfrp_qr.zip

I've even come up with a dice notation system so you can discus dice pools and results on forums and stuff:
https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=149&efcid=3&efidt=231554

Edit: Almost forgot. One of the forum members wrote an online dice roller so you can test rolls. It supports my dice notation system.
https://www.gmtools.excelocms.com/

Here's a sample (typical) roll:

<BB>(G)<P>[B] (note the B in brackets has to be upper case, but the forum keeps lowering it - even in code brackets)

That's 2x Blue d8 (characteristic), 1x Green d10 (conservative stance), 1x Purple d8 (challenge die), and 1x Black d6 (misfortune die)

Optional dice may be [Y] (Yellow d6 Expertise) and maybe [W] (white d6 fortune die), and possibly more black d6 misfortune dice.

No, DD said he was on it.

This would totally rock! I've got my pre-order in for this one and I would love to be able to play this on FG.
