Newbie Question - License Required as Player Character??

I'm considering joining either a DND 4e or C&C game as a player character via virtual tabletop.

If I use FG2, do I need to purchase a license to participate the game (not to host/DM)?

Yes, you need a lite license to join games. If you ever plan on DM-ing, you should get a full license, though, as you cannot upgrade your license (there was a short timespan where you could, but there is no way of knowing if that will ever happen again).

Its a one time expense. I recommend taking the full license to keep your options open.

If people are willing to play they should consider investing the time it takes to DM too.
