I've been working on this skin off and on for a bit. I'm trying to decide if I like the semi transparent chat box. Any thoughts?

I think the chat box should help the text be readable. By the end of the night I hate any detail in the box that makes it harder to read, especially on the last 3 lines where most people concentrate.

The semi transparency looks sort of pretty but I'd lose it.

just my .02

Nice map though.

Sigurd's right here I'd say. Readability first. Especially when you are going for long stretches. Nobody wants a GM with a headache. (TPK! TPK!)

PLEASE someone make a Solomon Kane skin!

I like the semi-transparent chat box, especially with a nice embedded map behind it.

I definately agree with the priority should be readability. It seems to be pretty readable, I looked at it with text on it. Everything is light under it so it it is pretty easy to read. You might not like my chatbox highlight though... It's busy but still pretty light and only when the dice are being dragged. I wanted to do something other than just a standard highlight.

Heh...

I actually used the "Hit Location Table" printed on a manequin as highlight on one of my rulesets. So i can't say *I* mind.

That's really good ... I have three games I really want to run:

1)Middle-earth using the RMC ruleset
2)Solomon Kane - SW
3)Mars/Barsoom - either 3.5Modern or the new SW version

Thanks to Devin I have a nice set of graphics for #3.

I updated the Bennies in the extention:

After seeing Doswelk's prettier bennies I updated the PotSM ones. ;)

I think the silvered inverted ones look better and match the dice drop highlight better.

Hi
-- looks cool - I especially like the bennies token. It seems that I'm a bit behind
but how is it possible to drag tokens into bennies box on the character sheet? I also noticed you have buttons called "+/-" and "FX" -- do they come in the most recent version of the ruleset aor is it custom made?

Ah, you must of missed Thore_Ironrock's Gen Con post in the tavern. The part about Savage Worlds was:

Savage Worlds Ruleset Update v3
Also at this year’s show we’re happy to announce (and demo) updates to our Savage Worlds Ruleset. This update (v3) fixes minor issues we’ve been following since v2, and other updates that include dynamic bennies, character and mini-sheet updates, and other interface updates that improve play with the look and feel of the Savage Worlds Explorer Edition rules. More information on upgrades for existing ruleset customers after the show.

That screen is from the new SW V3 ruleset. One of the new features is Bennies being drag and dropable. The default bennies feature Smilin' Jack. That screen with the white skull and cutlasses was me demoing how to over ride the default ruleset bennies with an extention. After I had that down (and saw Doswelk's bennies) I updated the art to what I thought was a "prettier" benny graphics. Once Thore recovers from Gen Con and his cold I expect he'll announce something more on the SW V3 ruleset.
