Would it be possible to remove the shadow that appears in the chat window on hidden GM rolls? My players know all the rolls and can see from the shape what kind of damage rolls the enemies are making.

Roll the dice off the chat window

I realise that's an option, but doing that would defeat all the nice drag-n-drop features for encounters in the 4E ruleset.

I like the shadow rolls because they're the equivalent of a group at a table seeing you rolling something behind the screen. However, I agree that the shape should always be a d20 so that the players can't tell what type of dice was rolled.

I like that idea EugeneZ, since players could hear die rolls in a face-to-face game, but at least they can't know exactly what you are rolling.

and of course there should always be like 20 Shadows. In some games the number of dice do matter.
