I am currently hacking apart a rules set to use to handle some functions for me and add ambiance in my face to face game. Maybe I am going nuts in my old age, but I would swear that I have used a rules set that had the active character’s portrait show in the chat window when the combat tracker moves to the next combatant other than simply their name and indicator_ctactive.png. Is there some way to do this? I can’t for the life of me figure it out.

Both JPG's rulesets have that feature. I'd download the d20_JPG or 4E ruleset and look at it.

That is where I saw it. Thanks!

Actually the 4E_JPG set places the portrait in front of the players actions (speaking, dice rolls, etc).

It doesn't actually display the portrait on CT cycle. It probably could but I'm not 100% sure. I know at one point I wanted it to display the NPC token image when the NPCs performed actions but I hit a brick wall involving portraits/tokens and the CT.

You are correct. Just saw your post after I ran a couple of tests. Now, back to square 1.
