Probably not a big deal but I figured out how to get a new image in the background :)

OMG, Palladium! Used to play that a lot, back in the day. Happy memories! :)

The file to modify is called desktop.png (1124x512) and resides in the frames folder. The first 512x512 is the desktop image, then there's the side bar. The final 512x512 is the overlay image.

Valarian explained it right, Nilliom. The frames folder is inside the rulesets folder, in my case : rulesets\4E_JPG\frames\desktop.png ... i did the work in photoshop and replaced the FG dragon with the map at 50% opacity.

You can also change the location/dimensions of the central image if you edit the decal tag in the framedef.

I have a question.

When I follow the instructions on the link you provided above Foen (i.e., the wiki.witheredlands.co.uk link), I get an error when I attempt to run the RuneQuest rule set with a new campaign. Specifically :

"Could not load included file data\bmpfonts.xml
Do you want to try reloading the data?"

Naturally if I try that the same message repeatedly pops up until I close FGII.

Are the wiki instructions about how to create a RQ (as an example obviously) rule set out of date? If so, how can I circumvent that error to continue?

Thanks -

The wiki instructions are a bit out of date, and you will notice that the FG launch screen looks different, for example. That said, you should be able to follow the instructions in Chapter One without any changes.

Have you worked from the d20 ruleset as a base? If so, did you make sure you downloaded d20.pak from the SmiteWorks site before running d20unpak.exe?

The d20 download is available here (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/filelibrary/d20-Ruleset-Setup.exe).

Yea - I found that I had an older copy of the d20unpak somehow... when I grabbed the one from the site here just now it worked fine.

Thanks.
