I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in playing in a Vampire the Requiem game. I am planning on running it on Monday Nights 7 or 8 PM EST.

I have not settled on setting, but most likely New York.

I would love to, but the time is no good for me. I'm at GMT +9, which puts me 14 hours ahead of you.

I could do a Saturday at that time, as It would end up on a Sunday morning for me.

OK, this is great! I wasn't expecting this much interest.

Here is what I was planning on doing:

The setting will be NYC. If you are from there and/or are familiar with it please forgive me as I have never been there. I will be making this my darker version of the city.

I have to develop the campaign and the NPC's, this may take a couple of weeks but if you are patient I believe you will be rewarded.

The ideas that I have currently rolling around are a mix of politics and intregue, mixed with horror. I don't plan on using the other elements of the NWoD though, ie. Werewolves, Mages or that sort of thing. Primarily because I am not a 100% on them and also I want to focus on the Danse Macabre. The characters can be from any clan and covenant. NYC is a huge place so all are represented. If you want to be from a bloodline then I will need to review it and let you know if I will allow it.

All characters will be starting out fresh.

Regarding the timing of the game. I am hesitant to play on the weekends as I sometimes go out of town about once a month and therefore you all would have to be patient with the interruptions. Also, I would have to run that past my wife as well. Any week night is fine. I plan on running from around 7 PM EST until 11 or so.

I would be open to using Skype in order to ensure that we can cover more ground during a session. I will let the players decide.

Like I said please be patient as I will need a week or two max in order to get it all together.

I should also note that the WoD will be slightly non-canon. I just want to keep players on their toes. The clans/covenants and all that is as it is in the books. The main reason is that I have not read all the books (although I am certainly trying!)

I was just looking at the software and this would be a good reason to buy it for me. Frankly, 7 pm EST would be a good time for me. For my two dinars I'd prefer typing over chat only because with two small children around talking can become problematic at times.

True enough.. I may have the same issue come to think of it.. So I think we will go with chat for now. It also helps suspend disbelief and make the game more believeable at the expense of speed.

OK so it looks as though we have 6 people interested. This is great. As I said in an earlier post, I have been working on the chronicle information and background. It should only take another week or so and we should be good to go. No please bear in mind that I have not GMed via Fanasty Grounds as of yet, but i have plenty of experience GMing in real life and via OpenRPG.

I would also like to add this disclaimer, I am looking to runa mature campaign, that will have adult oriented themes. I am not referring to porn here, I just am not going to pull punches.

The game will be a mix of intrigue, politics and violence. I would like a group of characters that would be able to work together. That being said I am not expecting for you all to make your characters together. Just please don't design a character that is expecting to go Lone Wolf. Survival of said characters will be precarious.

The setting is New York, and the Chronicle will start most likely in Brooklyn or Queens.

Please feel free to post the clan and/or covenant in this thread to give me a heads up on what you guys would like to play and this will help me design NPC's and such. I will post more later

I was wondering if this game was still going on? I haven't seen very many nWOD games out there, and while I am outside the EST'Zone, I have ran WOD for years and would love to play if there are any spots open.

I'm also still interested in finding a nWoW game. My timezone is +9.5 GMT, but my hours can be flexible. I have experience playing and running nWoD both pen and paper and over fantasy grounds.
