Any news on the timeline for 2.4 being released we are waiting on the local character editor fix for the foundation ruleset

Smiteworks hasn't commented in a while on the beta.
You know you can run the beta if you wish? The big problem with the foundation is in the combat tracker - making local characters isn't usually that important because it's a one time thing in most campaigns since you can't transfer server characters back to local characters.

I dont have time to play with beta's at the moment
We are wondering if going with the foundation ruleset was a mistake as I had hoped it would all be sorted by now. We can wait a bit longer.
Your probably right about the tracker being priority... but for my players they want off line characters

Your probably right about the tracker being priority... but for my players they want off line charactersI have to comment that this doesn't make sense, unless you're going to be rolling up new characters frequently. As Griogre points out, even with offline character creation once you've started play the character gets transferred to the GM's server and then can't be altered offline.
If, as you suggest, you're delaying your game waiting for the functionality, then you might as well spend some of that time rolling up characters online... or creating characters offline by hand or in another program and then inputting them quickly when connected. After all, the GM and other players don't even need to be present; the GM just needs to leave his machine running.

like a minimize button that works. Also random ending of the program
bug would be nice to be fixed.

point taken, had not realised that characters were locked after initial transfer to server.
We have been running with the foundation ruleset and leaving the server on line to allow character creation and updates

Last time they were this silent we got the 2.4 beta, which was pretty cool since they added a nifty new launcher and fixed a bunch of annoying outstanding issues, so I'm staying positive and assuming this silence means 2.4 final is in prep.
IMO, they should have just released 2.4 beta as final, there's no major issues I'm aware of (... except player notes, if I recall...). Both my groups have been using it fine for some time.

It throws an error when you create a new campaign too.

Nothing like starting a server, see one person connect, and then have everyone tell you that they can't connect due to incompatible versions. And then realize the new version was made available just after you started the server.
*sigh*

Only one worse than that was just before starting up the server noticing there is an update so doing it, and then finding out that until they release a hotfix (very quickly I might add), that no-one can play tonights game!
Thanks for getting the hotfix out for 2.4.1 so fast Devs!
