Hi there!

I didn't find anything about this topic, so here's the background:

We have a pretty small gaming table, so the idea is the Game Master hosting a session in Fantasy Grounds and having one Client joining. So the "gaming table" would be on the monitor pointing to the Players (who can move around tokens etc.). Since everyone would be there personally, FG would only serve as game table.

My question is:

Would it be possible to host a session and joint it per LAN (since the Computers would be next to each other, it would be the easiest choice).

If you have 2 monitors available and can hook both to the computer with the full FG, you don't even need a second computer. You can start a client session and put that on the one screen, and have the host session on the other screen. Hmm, now that I'm typing this I think I have to try that sometime with my laptop and screen... Could save the party lots of mapping hassles :)

This is a great idea, Zabulus.

If only Vista would support two mice (i.e. each with its own cursor), this would be even better (I'm yet unable to cope with cpnmouse), since then the players would be able to work the client (or how do you handle this?).

I will be doing something similar to the two monitor setup for the convention games I will be running this for the remainder of the year. Only the 2nd monitor will be a projector throwing the client view up on a wall. The players will have a laser pointer to pass around when their turn is up in combat or anything they need to indicate movements.
