I've posted the first draft of my Paranoia XP extension to the wiki. Currently it contains only the charcater sheet - and the only smarts worth noting is that the fields in the GM section are hidden if the user is not the host.
I'll upload subsequent versions if and when I make updates. Enjoy!

Just to let you know.

I just downloaded this, created a new foundation campaign but could not see the .ext listed in Extensions.

I quickly reviewed the .ext file and noted it contained a single directory named Paranoia XP rather than the expected .xml and scripts directory. Looks like the archive was made incorrectly.

I extracted the files and remade the .ext with the .xml files and the scripts directory in the root of the archive and it now works.

Great job by the way, like the skin too. Are you planning to add more features to the ruleset?

Yeah, nice work. Maybe get this official now Mongoose are (nearly) included in the list of publishers signed up to FG?

Total awe. I love paranoia. This is a must test as soon as I get home on the desktop.

The extension still needs packaging correctly, but once done appears to work well.

I'm new to the site. Any ideas where I can get the working .ext file?

Thanks

Unfortunately, that is the one that doesn't work.

This will work until an updated version is put up. Change the .ext to .zip and extract the contents somewhere. Go into the folder it extracted and make those files contained into a ZIP (with WinZip, WinRar, 7Zip, etc you can just select them both, right click and choose "Add to Archive" or something similar.)

Then rename the .zip to .ext and place it into your extensions folder.

Many thanks. I did fix it and also altered it slightly to replace the 'High Alert' skill with 'Scam Radar' to reflect the change in the latest published version by Mongoose.

What I tend to do (if I think I want to hack around with it), is after I unzip to a folder is move that folder to the extensions that way (as long as the folder name is the same as the extension name), the extension still works and it's easier to edit.

I have a minor problem with the zipping and then renaming of the .ext file.

When I zip the file using WinRar it becomes associated with WinRar. So if I change the name by adding the .ext the system still thinks it is a WinRar file.

So I have figured out that I can change the extension in DOS using the Command Prompt. Is that the easiest way to do it ?

If you're running Windows, it might be that you have "Hide extentions of know file types" enabled. In Explorer, go to Tools > Folder Options > View and uncheck "Hide extentions of know file types".
