I'm thinking of buying, but the demo left me with some questions.

1. When I shared an item the sheet was shared, including the name, but none of the text. Will this happen in the full version?

2. Sometimes, after dragging text, I was unable to chat. Is this a bug?

3. I've read there is a 4e ruleset. Does it contain all the 4e data? Are there any addition costs?

I'm thinking of buying, but the demo left me with some questions.

1. When I shared an item the sheet was shared, including the name, but none of the text. Will this happen in the full version? It's not a bug, but it does highlight something a bit daft with the demo. Items in the d20 ruleset have two tabs. The first is the main description and is for the GM only. The second is the shared tab and gets passed to the player when the item is shared. For both the sample items in the demo the fields on the shared tab are blank, so when the item is shared nothing is seen on the player side. If you put some text in the 'At a glance' box on the host and then share the item you'll see it on the player side. You can also enter a more detailed description in the 'When identified' box and that will get shared if you tick the little check box.

2. Sometimes, after dragging text, I was unable to chat. Is this a bug?I can't reproduce this. I think it's most likely that your FG session is losing the focus somehow. Try alt-tabbing back into FG if this happens again.

3. I've read there is a 4e ruleset. Does it contain all the 4e data? Are there any addition costs?I don't use this so wiser heads can confirm, but my understanding is that the WoTC licensing forbids the inclusion of the 4e data. However, if you own the pdfs there is a parser available which will help you populate your own copy. There's no additional cost.

Thanks for clearing that up.

The 4E ruleset is fan made and is free, but as Spyke mentioned the 4E license forbids distribution of 4E data. However, you may use the parser to input the data for your own personal use if you own a legal copy of the data.
