Is there a way to change the background image of the default game from that wood? What I would like is to have the background be a map for the campaign. Is there a way to do this?

Or are there any good "Fantasy" type skins around?

Change the desktop.png file in the images folder of the ruleset.

Hmmm. I tried that and the desktop just gets all distorted and wierd. Does it need to be a specific size?

Yes, 1124x512. The first 512 x 512 of the image is the desktop background. There's then a thin bar which is the image for the toolbar. The last 512x512 is the location for a watermark (the dragon icon in the default).
