Can I switch between activated characters using a keyboard command?

Hello all,

I have two PCs in one game and would like to know if there is a keyboard shortcut for switching between them as activated for chat purposes?

I know I can right click and select the flag icon to activate them however for the purpose of the chat window and the fact my fingers will not need to leave the keyboard it would speed up my gameplay when chatting.

Is right clicking a character portrait and selecting the flag icon the only way. Anyone?.

I don't know of any other. I was hoping someone else had a different response.
