New to FGII and still learning. Here's a question, which so far, I haven't been able to find a answer to.

My Info -
Have the FGII Full License
Running on a WinXP machine.
Have the 4.0_JPG mod downloaded and installed.
This is for the LFR and have signed up and am a member on the https://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/RPGA_Group/ forums.

Now my question -

Having some trouble with my character sheets. It's probably becouse of Read only fields but would like to compare a completed character to what I'm doing. So I went to https://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/RPGA_Group/files/RPGA%20PC%27s%20in%20FGII%20Format/ and tried copying and putting a character from there into my FGII.

What do I need to do and how do I do that?

Assuming the character data is good, you need to open the db.xml file of the campaign you want to see the character in. The db.xml file is divided into a number of sections. You are interested in the second section with the start element <charsheet>. If there are already characters in this campaign they will have elements that start like this: <id-00001> and count upward. You need to copy the character data into the section. The character may be already have an identifier that starts with <id-xxxxx> You need to make sure there is not already a character in the db.xlm file that has that id. If there is you need to change that id to an unique one. Make sure you change both that start and close element if you need change the character id. IE both <id-00003> and </id-00003>.

Open the XML-file in Notepad?
