Ok, I am trying to figure out how to use the Powers section in FG 2 using the 4E JPG ruleset. I have a new personality opened. I have entered the Main Tab info, and now i am entering the information on the PWERS tab.
For example i am using the Adventure path module from Wizards called Rescue at Rivenroar. On page 17 of the pdf there is a Hobgoblin Soldier.
How do I translate the Formation Strick, and does it qualify as a power? The human guards have pwer strike as another example.. I am using the User Interface of FG2 to enter the data, not doing a manual process.. Any advice or screenshots would be helpful.

(hope itis ok to post this stat block, if not let me know and i will remove it...)
Medium natural humanoid XP 150
Formation Strike (standard; at-will) ✦ Weapon
Requires flail; +7 vs. AC; 1d10 + 4 damage, and the hobgoblin
soldier shifts 1 square provided it ends in a space
adjacent to another hobgoblin.

Think you're pretty much all set there. You just wanna make sure you have the different parts correctly separated with the semi-colon, which I can see that you do. That will make the attacks and damage droppable. Also, words like "prone" in your example will be drag-and-droppable onto characters in the combat tracker. Also, if the entries are done correctly, teh attacks and damage will also be accessible in the combat tracker, which makes things a little easier, because you don't need to have every creature's entry open to run the combat.

Just looked at the image again. Couple more things. Where you have "standard" on that top line, pull that from there, and put where you have "weapon". Also, the image of the sword next to the entry changes to indicate the type of melle, ranged, or magical attack (off-hand, I don't recall what they are, but I think you can get an idea from the attack types description in the PHB).

Aside from what AndyPan mentioned the ruleset expects recharge to be written 5-6 to allow you to double click on it in the combat tracker to check for whether you got a refresh.
This guard is a bit different but you can see the idea:

Another thing is spacing is important for parseing. Probably because you are cut and pasteing from the PDF you are missing some spaces - ie you have "damage, and" all run togeather. If that comma wasn't in there you the damage ruleset keyword would not work. You might want to keep your eyes open for things like that.

I've found that when copy-and-pasting from the PDF's that any line break in the PDF results in that lack of space. So if you are copying a 3 line power, there should be 3 spaces you need to add. Also, it always copies fire as fi re which prevents the ruleset from picking it up.

I would like to RTFM on this... I find the online documentation (Help) lacking, am I just missing a resource that would help me?

As the primary creator and maintainer of the ruleset, I agree that the ruleset needs better documentation to allow people to better understand how to use all the features.
However, documentation is not one of my strong points, and I tend to work on new features over documenting. Also, I try to make the system work as much as possible with statistics copied and pasted from rulebooks and adventures.
For now, the best way to understand the 4E_JPG ruleset features is to review the readme.txt file to see what has been added.
If anyone would like to step up to help document the ruleset and its features, I'd be grateful. No one has accepted the challenge to date. ;)
Cheers,

Icon Next to Power Name:
melee, basic melee, ranged, basic ranged, close, basic close, area, aura,
basic attack (the first attack in the monster description)
Recharge:
at-will, encounter, Encounter(Special), daily, recharge #-#, recharge when.. see mmI page 7
Action:
standard, move, minor, immediate, interrupt, immediate reaction, free, sustain
Range - not really sure yet on this item...
If a monster or character has a an different value than normal, the melee attach will have a reach value.
For example, The Aboleth Slime Mage has a basic attack of Tentacle. It has a Reach 2.
I suppose a Power Called Frenzy (MMI page 13 Tarrasque) would have a reach of Close burst 3
Keywords- There are a ton of these...
when looking at a power you will see the keywords next to the power name. For example: Slim Orb (standard; at-will) * Psychic, there are a ton of them, not sure how many the program keys off of...
Acid, Air, Blind, Charm, Cold, Disease, Earth, Fear, Fire, Force, Gaze, Healing, Illusion, Lightning, Necrotic, Poison, Psychic, Radiant,Sleep, Thunder, Water, Zone.
Other Words:
Angel, Aquatic,Conjuration, Construct, Demon, Devil,Dragon,Giant,Humunculus,Mount, Ooze, Polymorph, Plant, Reptile, Swarm, Teleportation, Undead
General Text entry area:
You can usualy cut and paste here, but beaware of the following:

Watch the spaces, they must be there and the semi-colon is very important.

Hum, there are attach modifiers such as Combat Advantage- should you use powers as a means to enter it or add it to the modifier stack manually?

The ruleset doesn't recognize Combat Advantage in a power. The design is that modifiers like that are added to the modifiers page by the DM.
So in answer to your question you add it to the modifier stack manually. However it *is* used so commonly I would expect it to be hotkeyed by most DMs and Players.

I just watched the demo below, very well done.
Can anyone tell me how to resize the windows as he does in the video? Other than not being able to use the num pad on my keyboard, that is my current biggest issue with FG2 right now.:)

Not all windows resize, but those that do can be resized by holding down Ctrl and dragging the lower right corner of the window.
