I've been on this board a little while, and I finally would just like to know: What are all the ranks you can have, in order?

The developers wouldn't tell us. richvalle is the highest ranking poster currently. That was one reason I was thinking about resigning as a sage in 900 or so posts. ;)

Funny...I was wondering the same thing...how does one rank posts?

I cant tell you what they are, but I can tell you what they should have been (historically speaking).

Peasant, vassal, landowner, Knight, Baroness, Baron, Lord, Viscountess, Viscount, Countess, Earl, Marchioness, Marquis, Duchess, Duke, Princess Royal, Prince, Queen, King.

The FG ranks are all apparently male. They also use some fantasy ranks. IE off the top of my head the first few ranks are like Serf, Peasant, Freeman, Adventurer, Landowner, Knight, ect. As unerwunschdt pointed out they do appear to largely be historical, though.

I am very interested at this point in figuring out what they have lets try to make a list. We know it is post based, and from a little post recon I have found these numbers so far. Notice there are gaps, and I am sure its not a complete list. Maybe some of you can find more post counts.

1-2 serf
3-4 peasant
5-9 artisan
10-29 adventurer
37-59 landowner
62-85 noble
131 Aristocrat
150-180 Esquire
207-261 knight
321-458 Baron
?-633 Viscount

Hmmm....

I seem to recall suddenly becoming a Landowner as soon as I purchased the program (directly from serf). So it might be more complex than just post counts.

OK, I'll start watching for breakpoints on this, and we can update this list. Boy, do we really have no lives. This isn't quite as much fun as talking about the little men at the top graphic like we did the other day (thanks again, PneumaPilot).

LOL, I won't ruin your fun, but I almost positive it is post counts - and the break points are very regular, at least at the higher levels. Bear in mind the list above is missing some titles.

But what are those little men

They are the PCs who got trapped on the server of a DM who quit hosting games. They are forever trapped on the server, and the woeful players lament their status.:square:

I have taken a que from the thread and changed my site over to a more cryptic user rank/level system. Tho mine is a little harder to figure out than the one here.

Oh, what a horrible fate!
I can only hope I'll never do that for my players.
