New Player Looking for a Group D&D 4E

I'm brand new to this program and to D&D 4E (D&D any version really) I'm poking around with the program and I've made a few characters. I'm open to playing any role a group needs. I have all 4 core books now and I'm really looking forward to getting in a group.

Any suggestions as to what type to start? What would be good for the group. I really am open to trying any class/race.
