Hi everyone - I'm a newbie to DM'ing FG games online so please bear with me...

I'm sure a lot of DM's use online forums in conjunction with the campaigns they run, to make campaign announcements, engage in out-of-game-session role playing, et cetera... I fully plan on doing so myself there's only one problem.. I can't seem to find a forum out there that's "up" and running most of the time! I notice www.freeforums.org is often down when I try to log onto it for example.. I'm willing to pay a monthly free for premium service assuming this will make a difference, I'm just not sure 1) if it will make a difference and 2) which website I should use.

Any idea guys? Any reliable forum hosting websites you know of out there that consistently let players and DM's log in without any problems?

To anyone who's reading this thanks very much for your time and attention ! :)

Guess what?
We are in the final staged of launching a site that does EXACTLY what you are looking for. (look in my sig for the link)

There is a section in the forum called "Game Journals" that is exactly what you are asking for... Just shoot me or one of the staff members a PM and we can get you set up with your own forum section, and get you ready to go.

In addition to gaming sites, a Yahoo or Google Group works very well for gaming groups. Just make them private.

I have used yahoogroups for over a decade. They are awesome.

White Haired Man uses Obsidian Portal (https://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/savaged-kithtakharos). The ability for players to contribute to the campaign in a structured way is important to our product development.
