d20 or foundation?

Which if any, is the 3.5e ruleset? Do either need an update?

Both have been the default ruleset for Fantasy Grounds. Others can better comment on the edition target of the two options. I find them close enough to play 3.5.

Foundation is the new default ruleset for the future. I'd suggest that if you are putting effort into updating or tweaking a default ruleset into a custom one you put your energy in the same place Smite Works is.



You might also look into custom rulesets that have been done by others. Moonwizard has one called D20-JPG that is around on some sites. It's very good.

as far as the character sheets go though, I am using d20 so it should be good. it looks pretty similar to a 3.5 char. sheet
