Character starting level & equipment: First level, starting equipment. As part of the Dragonlance setting, each player receives a bonus feat at 1st level, based on background.
Character restrictions: No home-brew. Otherwise, any module I have is available. If you are playing a race not native to Krynn (Orc, Dragonborn, Tiefling), you'll need to come up with a backstory for how they got there.

Details of your scenario: It's 351 AC group of adventurers is traveling to the small town of Vogler, on the Solomnian border to pay their final respects to their mutual friend, Ispin Greenshield. Rumors spread of an army conquering territories in Ansalan. However, none have been confirmed in this region.
