Any way to copy images onto dungeon maps?

I'm going see if I can fit my introduction thread in here too.

M'kay, so until recently I've played D&D very sporadically for lack of consistent players. I almost always GM, so that's a pretty serious problem for a campaign. Most of them die when everyone goes home after a session.

Recently, though, I got together with some friends who I met online. One of them was pretty interested in campaigning, the other was less enthusiastic, but then played it and enjoyed it bunches. So we're like, "There's got to be some incredible genius in some mad laboratory who made a way to do this online."

And then we found fantasy grounds. The big price tag scared us at first (I think one of them tried to find a crack) but eventually we all gave in and bought. My friends got lite licenses, and I got a full license.

To the point, though! My biggest problem is I can't draw for shizz. A perfect circle is beyond me, if I can even so much as draw a straight line. It's fairly easy to find cool-looking stuff for tokens and portraits and such, but good stuff for maps is a little harder.

I've looked around and found alot of random dungeon generators, which aren't much to my liking. Call me spoiled, but I really like the classy maps I can get on tabletop, and if all I can get is a bunch of my nasty drawings, that's gonna be really disappointing.

But to get those, what I need is a way to copy a picture onto the dungeon as the dungeon itself. It'd be awesome if someone could find me that.

The maps are just image files.

If you are looking for maps for dungeons then there are a lot of good collections that are hanging around on t'interwebby thingymawotsit.

    and

    various links from profantasy.

A couple of months ago I bought Campaign Cartographer 3 and the City and Dungeon expansions. Well I've just discovered the sheet effects and although I'm still a rubbish artist I can knock out some reasonable maps CC3 did take some getting used to though and my Overland maps are still a bit basic.

More links to maps can be found here!

If you want to purchase tile based systems Skeleton Key Games have a good range and soon Four Ugly Monsters will have some too!

Maybe his question was more basic...

If you want to put an image in FGII, you have to open the image folder that is in the campaign folder and put the image you want there. Then, in FGII, you'll find it by pushing the "images" button. from there, you can do all sorts of nifty stuff like put a grid on it so that tokens lock on that grid and lots of better stuff yet

The folder in question can be found in:
    Code:
    C:Documents and Settings/yourname/Applications Data/Fantasy Grounds II/Campaigns/yourcampaignname/images/
    Always keep it in perspective!

If you have a different OS the path may be different where to put your images, but you you can always find it by opening the Start Menu going to FG2 and selecting Aplication Data. Look for the campaigns name like Kenshin said and drop your dungeon map image into the image folder.

WotC has a big map collection too: https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/4arch/ag
