Advice on best pro Microphone to GM FG game with group of players

Ok, as a GM/DM running a roleplaying game like D&D. Which is the best Microphone to buy and use? After watching 20 youtube video's it seems the toss up between 2 USB mics is Yeti and Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ .

Any suggested in real world use with Discord and Fantasy Grounds hosting a RP game with 6 players?? I figured this was important since nothing is better than playing D&D in persons at a table. I found it a little disconnected talking to others on a headset. I want my players to hear me very clearly and would also like to use technology to maybe help roleplay characters and monster voices.

I already have a Logitech USB headset that cost me $25 that I use for work and did try it in Discord joining my 1st FG game last night. It sounded OK, but thin and nasally. The audio would cut out once in awhile. Cox Cable 100MB service. Wired Ethernet. High end modern PC. But im using a $230 ASUS motherboard. No dedicated audio card or audio device. I know pro youtube streamers have alot of opinions on the audio gear they use but I wanted a take on someone running games on fantasy grounds on the same level of quality.

This is a good list of headsets that have been reviewed by a site I trust. I hope this helps.

I see the best ones over $200 to $300. I was thinking of getting a kit like this on Amazon but not sure if I would need any other equipment as well.

I've been using a Blue Yeti for about a year. Works great for me.

I second the Blue Yeti. I got mine on Amazon (here) and it came with a code for a free copy of assassin's creed origins. Works great and for the price you are not going to beat the quality.

Also be aware, cutting in and out might not be related to your mic or network. If using voice activation, your threshold might simple be too low. And if using push to talk, you might want to change keys or lengthen the release delay.

I use a Steel Series Arctis 7 and really like it. But that's a headset and I haven't compared it to anything but my cheap logitech business headset.

I've been using a Lewitt DGT 650 that I got from Amazon UK, I like it a lot.

You don't need a terribly expensive Mic/Headset to GM a game. I've done it with ear buds connected to my phone with the Discord app open. Now, I get the need to want to produce the best audio for your players. Just purchase something that is comfortable for your budget and try to free up as much memory as you can while running a game. If you are using Discord as your voice communication remember it is a little more bandwidth heavy than other options but if you have a decent upload speed then you should be fine. Happy Gaming!!

Put me in the Blue Snowball group as well for mic. For headset, Im using the Beyerdynamic DT 990's. I love the setup.
