Change Active Character using F-keys

If I am running multiple characters, it would be nice if I could change the active character using F-keys. If I drag a portrait to the key, it will open the character sheet, but not switch to that character. Is there something that I'm missing?

The f keys don’t do anything more than hold the string that you put in them. So the character sheet opens but it diesn’t Do anything else. The best way to select a character if you are running multiples is by clicking on the portrait.
